Marissa was leaving in less than a week, so we were spending a lot of time together. I was going to miss this girl. She had been such an awesome roommate. So to break away from our studies and have some fun, we decided to go have a beach day... and along with that beach day, we decided, why not send off messages in a bottle? It always sounded like fun, so why not?
We went and got some glass bottles from Foodland down the street, and picked up some lunch as well. We headed over to the beach, [after taking some silly beach shots] wrote our letters, and put them in our bottles. I was pretty excited about this.
At first I wasn't sure what I was going to write. Did it really matter? Not really, cause the likelihood of someone actually finding the bottle before it broke, probably isn't very high, so it was more for me. After I came to that realization it's as if the words just floated onto the paper. I can't really explain it. Marissa wasn't sure what to write either, but within a few minutes, we had our letters done and ready to send off our bottles.
Yeah, it would've been super cool just to let them go in the ocean... float off like 'they do in the movies'. But that doesn't really work.. See, the waves just push them back into shore. So at that point, we went up to the Point and threw them off there... hoping they wouldn't break and would maybe make it to somewhere.
Whether our bottles aren't ever found, or they were found the next day or maybe in 6 months, we had so much fun making this memory. Definitely one for the record books.
