Palm Springs

Next came Palm Springs!!! Kimberly called and really wanted me to come down for the girls National   Pageant in hotter than heck, Palm Springs! The girls were doing the Miss American Starlet Pageant and did an amazing job! We were lucky enough to stay at the La Quinta Inn and Suites right where the pageant is held. It was beautiful!! We stayed in a little casita, and there were two rooms to a casita, eight rooms to a salt water pool. We had so much fun and swam whenever we got a chance. My favorite part of walking out the door however was the smell of the honeysuckle! It reminded me of my moms home in the summer time. Mmmmm, loved it! 

However, even with a pool only 5 feet from our door, most of our time was spent in the room showering, blow-drying, curling and hair spraying hair! As well as doing make-up and having the girls practice their walks!! If we weren't in the room, we were watching them compete, of helping them change into their next outfit backstage!! It was insanely fun. They competed in many different categories and did so well!! The theme was pirates and the girls had such a fun time!! Each night after competition, they would do something fun for the girls. There were two nights when they had big dances with an awesome DJ and tons of crazy dancing girls!! The finals night was definitely the best!! The show was phenomenal, totally professional and the girls were so happy!! Rebekah made Top 10, and Danielle made Top 5! The heat about killed me and sometimes things became a little diva'ish, but other than that, we had so much fun!!! No-stop laughing and joy with those girls!! I am so glad I was able to go!! It was a great way to end my summer travels.
