I'll be home for Christmas...

I was able to be home for the whole Christmas season this year!! I loved it. I was able to enjoy all the fun of the Holidays without having to worry about getting back for work or trying to get the actual holiday off!
Tams came to stay with us Christmas Eve and morning this year, it was so great! I went and picked her up, and then we got home, woke the silly boys up off the couch and made our gingerbread houses! It was so fun. Jared made the Firehouse Carwash, it was for sure the most creative this year! We then opened our pajamas and funny presents and read the book, "Why Christmas Trees Aren't Perfect". If you haven't read the book, read it, it's too cute! We then watched a movie in which half of us fell asleep! We were all back awake by 1:30am when it ended and we then headed up to bed. Tammy and I were up till almost 4 am talking! Having to set an alarm to wake up Christmas morning is becoming somewhat of a habit--as well as having to jump on the boys' beds to wake them up! We were downstairs by 9am and had an awesome Christmas morning!! It was so fun to open presents this year. Aaron got a hot cocoa maker and all the fixings for it, I got the boys some t-shirts, that they actually will wear & we all pitched in and got mom a Kitchen Aide! It was the last present to open and omg, it was so fun to watch her open it! We loved it watching her face!! The boys got me a Kindle--I had NO idea! It was awesome! I started crying after I opened it--they are so sweet. After opening presents, we had french toast and hot cocoa for breakfast and then watched "The Christmas Story" surrounded by wrapping paper, gifts, family and love. It was a great morning!
Later in the day we headed up to the Wilson's and watched Elf, played poker, put together puzzles, ate prime rib, played water spoons and laughed, a lot! It was a great way to finish up such a wonderful Christmas.
We sure did miss everyone that was not able to be make it home (well, to our home) for Christmas. Dan was out driving in Texas. Lisa was in Ohio with her boyfriend. Julia stayed back in Nebraska with Kyle and Sherri, Ken and Wesley were at their home in Granby. Mark was able to make it out their way this year and they all had an awesome one!
